The word "Steadfast" originated in ancient England and stands for resilience and courage.
In the 4th century AD the King of the Swabians challenged Waermund to give up his kingdom, Angeln or let his son fight against the son of the challenger. Offa took his father's place and tried out numerous fighting tools, of which none was resistant enough and consequently broke.
Eventually, Waermund gave him his own weapon, a sax named "Steadfast", which Offa used in the duel with his counterpart. Despite his young age, he defeated not only the king's son, but also a famous champion that had been sent along with his counterpart. Consequently he succeeded his father and became King of the Angles and Swabians, known widely for his great courage and strength.
